How do I determine the maximum safe capacity for my GB 36 Classic? The name plate says 8 but if I use the standard POB per sq ft I get at least 12 (higher in the US). I want to take people out on a one hour cruise in fine weather and will have a life jacket for each passenger.

I have had 7 on the bridge of our 36. 12 seems like to many. Consider the weight that high up if the boat rolls from a wake.

Sorry i didnt mean capacity on the flybridge, but the boat in general. I just wanted to let folks know she was a fly ridge model.
Thanks

In that case, I would think 12 would not be a problem at all. The biggest problem will be getting all of them you use the head properly. LOL!

I've had 12 on board my boat occasionally and it's no problem but you definitely have to limit the number on the flying bridge. I limit it to 6 but actually prefer to have only 4-5.

Thanks, very helpful. Just don't understand why the GB plaque would say maximum 8. I'm guessing that would be for worst case sea state. I'm just planning on taking prople out close to shore in fine weather.

Oh Lord.....

We had 18 on board one night, getting rid of the empty bottles was the biggest problem.

We had 10 tenders tied off the back of LS

Shocked
Tom.

I have had 14 on my 32' boat with no trouble. People scatter around and even when they all stand in stern to disembark it hardly changes the trim.
