Does anyone have recommendations for a good and reasonably priced upholstery company in the Seattle area?

Our cushions are nearly 40 years old and starting to show their age.

Thanks.

Denny did ours, and will work with you. He did not go to the boat. I took all our stuff to him. He has reasonable prices and can get any material you want. I had a fittment issue and he fixed what I asked for. If you are looking for factory fresh and have loads of cash, he may not be good enough for your needs, but we are quite pleased with what he did for us.

Hi Rich,

Don't know which cushions you are looking to replace .. but I have a seamstress in PDX that just did the bridge cushions for me .. I had the foam cut (Open cell Outdoor), cut out a paper patterns and selected the material and this is the result ... she is pretty well versed on a GB32 having done all the outside sunbrella covers.

Jeff,
Off topic but -- what did you use for the non-skid on your flybridge deck? Looks great!

Joe

I'm not sure if these are the less costly, but they do a good job.

I got several estimates (including the companies in the previous post), ranging from $1750 - $5500.00.

We took a long look and decided that we didn't really need to do anything right now, so we're waiting until we really feel the need.

Joe,

It was done with Interlux Interdeck Non-skid paint .. gray. I lightened the original (kind a battleship) with Interlux Brightside white to get the lighter shade.

Masked the original deck area (aqua marine) and made the round corners and applied the paint with a roller .. you have to keep the non-skid in in suspension with lots of mixing .. the paint is like a whipped mousse.

One coat and about a quart of paint 3/4 gray and 1/4 white .. which does cut down on the nonsid, but the deck has grip without being gritty.

In the interest of making the painting simple, like the cabin sides and flying bridge bottom .. the varnish moulding at the base of the seats has gone white.

Another view ....

Since we had purchased Schatzi I had never been comfortable sitting on the bridge cushions. Used to pile additional cooler cushions and or throwable cushions for comfort and visibility. We had new seat cushions made for our trip down the intercoastal and I had them made extra thick in the front. This not only increased the comfort level immeasurably, obviated the need for additional cushions but also has the added benefit of giving me enough height when seated to see over the venturi windshield. Just an idea to consider. PS Am working on teak.
